A certified (official) translation is required whenever a document in one language must be submitted to an authority that works in another: a Bulgarian birth certificate for a registry office abroad, a foreign diploma for recognition in Bulgaria, a contract for a court or a notary.
In Bulgaria, official translations are prepared by translators whose signature is certified according to the rules of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. We prepare the translation, attach it to the copy of the original, certify it and, when the receiving country requires it, add the apostille or legalization in the same order.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between a certified and a regular translation?
A regular translation is for information only. A certified translation carries the translator's declaration and certification so that an authority can rely on it as an official document.
Do you need the original document?
To start, a good scan is enough. Depending on the receiving institution, the translation is attached to a copy or to the original; we tell you in advance whether originals must be sent by courier.
Can you translate between two foreign languages?
Yes. Thanks to our international network we also translate directly between foreign languages, for example German to Turkish or Russian to English.
